Glyphs without a character
Small caps, ligatures and alternates (a.sc, f_i, g.ss01) are glyphs known by name.

Not every glyph is a character you can type. Small caps (a.sc), ligatures (f_i) and alternates (g.ss01) are unencoded: they have a name but no Unicode value, and OpenType features swap them in.
Name them with the usual suffixes and ChewPack writes the features for you (see Automatic features). In preview text, type a slash and the name followed by a space to show one: /a.sc .
