The tools
Twelve tools on the rail, each with a one-letter key.

| Tool | Key | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Select | V | Click points, drag to box-select. |
| Transform | S | Drag the handles around the selection; Alt keeps proportions. |
| Slant | I | Click a pivot, drag the angle. |
| Pen | P | Click to add points, click the first point to close. |
| Rectangle | B | Drag to draw. |
| Ellipse | O | Drag to draw. |
| Knife | X | Click or drag across contours to cut; Shift cuts through. |
| Fill | F | Click a region to fill it; Alt+click makes a hole. |
| Metrics | M | Drag side bearings. |
| Kerning | K | Drag the slider between two letters. |
| Hand | H | Drag to move around. |
| Zoom | Z | Click to zoom in, Alt+click to zoom out. |
The tool keys work while the glyph editor has focus. Hover a tool for a reminder.
