Fill

Where contours overlap or sit inside each other, the Fill tool decides which regions are ink. Click a region to fill it; Alt+click to make it a hole. The preview shows the change before you click.

Ink in a font comes from the direction contours run (outer shapes one way, holes the other). The Fill tool sets that for you, so you never have to reverse a contour by hand.
