Masters

A master is a complete version of the font at one weight, say Light (300) and Bold (700). Each master has a place on the weight axis. You draw each glyph in every master; ChewPack blends between them.

To blend, a glyph's masters must match: the same contours, points and handles in the same order. The usual way is to duplicate a master and then move points rather than redraw. Font Info › Masters lists glyphs that don't match, and why.

The master strip and the glyph grid's sidebar switch the master you're editing.
