Exporting fonts
TrueType, OpenType, WOFF2, WOFF for the web, and UFO or VFJ sources for other editors.
Where
- File › Export font… (Ctrl+E)
- File › Export as
Export opens a sheet under the toolbar: pick a format card, the file name and the folder.
| Format | Use it for |
|---|---|
| TrueType (.ttf) | The most widely supported desktop format. |
| OpenType (.otf) | Desktop; keeps your curves exactly as drawn (CFF outlines). |
| WOFF2 (.woff2) | Websites. The smallest web font. |
| WOFF (.woff) | Websites, for older browsers. |
| UFO (.ufo) | Source format for Glyphs, FontLab, RoboFont and fontmake. |
| FontLab VFJ (.vfj) | Source format for FontLab. |
With several masters, export can write every instance. Before writing, ChewPack checks the font and asks once if there are warnings. When it's done, a notification offers Show to open the folder.
